Here is the attachment of a CFA Rochester presentation that I attended from last Thursday about investing in Wide Moat Companies.  At the end of the presentation Pat Dorsey indicated that they have identified 165 Wide Moat companies out of the 1700 companies that Morningstar tracks. Twenty of those companies are included in the Morningstar Wide Moat Focus TR Index with a free membership on Morningstar's web site. The remaining 145 companies are available for premium subscribers on the web page. I'm tapped out at this moment.

I was wondering if anyone here is a premium member to Morningstar.com and has access to these companies? I plan on studying these companies very carefully in the near future. It's a good exercise to analyze every company and identify why each company is a Wide Moat. As I'm sure most of you are aware of, Warren Buffett invented the term "Wide Moat" and created his wealth from Wide Moat investing. Basically I'm asking for the complete list of Wide Moat companies on an Excel spreadsheet with the corresponding ticker symbol. I'm not asking for any analyst reports or financial information about the companies.

ALSO PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT PAT DORSEY OR CALL PAT EVEN THOUGH HIS CONTACT INFORMATION IS MENTIONED ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE SLIDE PRESENTATION. THAT CONTACT INFORMATION IS INTENDED FOR CFA MEMBERS ONLY. THANK YOU!!!!!

Let's get started analyzing and understanding these exceptional companies and applying the investing techniques that Warren Buffett mastered!! Look forward hearing back from you all!!
